Now in Review: 2012

This movie just adds to the 2012 phenomenon, which, in my opinion, will never happen. So, the end of the world happens. A family flees the disaster, with humans dying off like flies. They climb onboard a huge ship, just as giant tidal waves encompass the globe. Now, on to the characters: The Americans, Chinese, and African-Americans seem very stereotipical, and, like Avatar and Star Wars the Clone Wars, they are wooden. The most realistic characters are the Russians. They have the only humourus lines, and, guess what: THEY ALL DIE. One dies in a crash landing, one drowns, and one falls off of a cliff. The only decent parts of this movie are the special effects.  But one more thing: The best character is an eccentric conspiracy theorist named Charlie, who also dies.

Emulators are not totally illegal at least not yet so you should stock up on emulators and games. They are pretty easy to find so just go crazy. There is almost an emulator for every system so there is almost every game. The games are illegal if you do not own the system. Try the gba emulator first because it is the easiest to find and has alot of games. so here is my advice.

who cares if it is illegal just do not invite any cops over

Playability

            This game does not include excessive button-mashing like the Gamespot.com review says. Merely tap a button and your wish is the game’s command. Another addition also added defensive lockdown buttons (d-pad). I don’t know much about that because I almost never use it ‘cause I’m good the way it is. But when I have used it HOLY CRAP! The D was almost literally passing the ball to us. With great controls and no button-mashing, this game is just right for people learning sports games and also veterans.

Graphics

            The moves are so fluid in this game. But faces show no expression and instead look like face number whatever the heck it is 56 or whatever number it is. But dunks make up for that. There are so many kinds of dunks in the game you can’t count. There When you dunk, it’s not just a dunk, it’s a man walking on air to get to where he needs to be. THE HOOP!

Multiplayer

            I haven’t Played multiplayer here for a   very, very, very, very, long time. But from what I know the multiplayer is very, very pretty (as in great).

Commentary

            Unlike Madden, or NCAA baseball, I’ve had this game for quite a few years and there’s still some commentary that I haven’t heard yet. They have really funny commentary, for example if you’re having a bad day in the lane, MJ might say “Children, cover your eyes, don’t watch this game, this man does not know how to play basketball, and this is very ugly” Or, if you’re having a good day MJ might say “His shooting is 80%  from the lane tonight for the 3^rd game in a row” Yes, they look back on the past unlike other games.

The Crowd

            If you turn of cheering you can hear people shout things from the stands. An added bonus: the crown isn’t in crappy 2-D.

Cheats

            Cheats are OK. The only good cheat I know is DOWNTOWN you can play on top of a skyscraper.

Overall

            This game is for all types of sports gamers and the controls are awesome.

Graphics

The Graphics in this game are NES like in this old fashioned game. Purely black and white. I don’t even think there are explosions at all.

Controls

Simple, just use the arrow keys to move, and at the beginning of press space to set the shoot keys.

Gameplay

It’s hard like ancient games should be. This game is Atari worthy!

A.I.’s

I was sort of disappointed  that the A.I.’s didn’t shoot at you but they make up for it by have the A.I.’s come at you and if they hit you, you automatically die.

Walls

Walls can kill you in a few seconds.

Overall

This is a pretty good game and it’s good enough for me to want to download the sequel, Hero Core when it comes out.

Tony Hawks American Wasteland review

Plot

                  Tired of being shunned for skating everywhere you move to L.A., the birthplace of skating. Just like your dad says, a girl tells you to chop your mop and change your digs. Then you try to rescue a skater from jail and create the ultimate skate park.

Graphics

                  I really don’t see anything wrong as the graphics as other game reviews may suggest. Although if you want a more realistic game, I would recommend skate or skate 2.

Controls

                  From my experience with the game it works best to use the d-pad for all tricks then use the left thumbstick for everything else. Although you can do it anyway you want. What bugs me is that you cannot configure your own control system.

Gameplay

              Story mode can get really hard to do after a while with near impossible missions which will get people frustrated easily. Also you can only be a boy in story mode which is sorta’ sexist. Creating things, on the other hand is fun and easy You could do that all day long.

Overall

                  This game is great I would recommend it to people who are more experienced with skateboard games from antother tony hawk installment.
