Game Informer magazine is a magazine by gamers, for gamers. It has been around since the days of the SNES telling people about new games for game systems. Game Informer writes articles on just-announced and upcoming games that look like they could be one of the best games of the year. They covered Fallout 3, Halo 3: ODST, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and inFamous before anyone else. They review games that come out every month and have features such as a guide to surviving the zombie apocalypse. (The only way to not die a horrible death is to be Marty McFly from the Back to the Future series.) They also answer letters from readers, some of which criticize everything GI does, such as the scores they give out to highly-anticipated games such as Halo 3.
I would recommend this magazine to anyone who is at all serious about video games.

Game Informer is one of the better gaming publications out there. I’m usually disapointed by thier features and reviews but they do get access to games earlier than others with their connection with GameStop. Their staff have a lot of personality and one cool thing about them is that they’re based in Minnesota like me and I’ve actually met a few of them.
